Tesla has just set a new record of 728 kilometers. It's not hard to understand why electric car companies are struggling to keep up with their long battery life, because it's so hard to charge an electric car, and the long wait times have been very urgent.
But a new technology from an Israeli start-up might be able to radically change that. It's as quick and easy as refueling.
The Israeli technology company, StoreDot, said recently that it has developed a new battery technology that can charge the phone and power the electric car in just a few seconds.
The new technology USES nanotechnology to synthesize a synthetic polymer material that is then developed using the material. It can store more power faster, like a super-dense sponge, to absorb and retain power.
The company hopes to launch mobile phone batteries in 2016 with the latest technology and thinner fiber. It will take only 30 seconds to recharge a new battery.
StoreDot said the fast charging device, which will eventually go on sale, will cost more than $100 to $150, and will eventually have 1,500 charging cycles, which can last for three years.
In addition, a recent goal of the StoreDot company is to develop the first prototype of an instant rechargeable car, including a battery and a matching charging station.
